About Pamela Stratton
Pam Stratton, MAOM, LAc has proudly served the Cape Ann area since 1994. She creates a practice environment that combines her solid clinical expertise with the creative aptitude drawn from her work as a Mosaic artist. She believes that to assist another in finding balance, you must embody it yourself. Pam practices that philosophy by maintaining an art studio and teaching mosaic classes.
Pam received her master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture, one of the nation’s top acupuncture universities. She is nationally board certified in acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is certified in Chinese Herbal Medicine. She is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Medicine and maintains memberships to the Massachusetts Acupuncture Society and the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
Pam has extensive experience working with diverse patient groups and difficult clinical cases. Although she does not specialize in any specific disorders, Pam believes most people can be helped by Traditional Chinese Medicine. Prior to her acupuncture training she worked as a counselor. Her background as a counselor includes experience at McLean Hospital, Women’s Alcoholism Program in Cambridge, Fenway Community Health Center and at Addison Gilbert Hospital where she served as the Director of Acupuncture for Treatment of Substance Abuse.
Pam is a member of the Society of American Mosaic Artists. Her artwork can be seen at pamstrattonmosaics.com. She enjoys the peace of meditation and chanting, the serenity of bird watching, the connection with nature through hiking and the humility of astronomy. Pam is a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club and the Gloucester Astronomy Club.
You will experience Pam's enjoyment of the natural world through the atmosphere she creates in her clinic. Along with showing some of her mosaics, one treatment room ceiling showcases a 3x6 foot high resolution photograph of the Pinwheel Galaxy and the other treatment room ceiling has a 3x6 foot high resolution photograph of a beautiful blue sky and relaxing clouds.
